Then onto everyone’s worst nightmare, the essay section. They are going to ask about your interests, your plans for the future (I had none), and maybe something that feels personal like your biggest regrets or challenges.           These essays are all designed to see if you are the kind of student they want. If you want to be extra, you can look up some of that university’s marketing and figure out what kind of students they seem to be targeting, then tailor your responses.

Application time. Most colleges in America like you to apply by January. That is considered the regular decision deadline. I personally started on my applications in the first week of my senior year, but I have a fear of missing deadlines (FOMD if you will) . So I turned in a lot of Early Decision applications.
